COMPLIANCE SERVICES

Understanding and adhering to the legal requirements is key for any organisation. Below are just some of the compliance areas we can assist with:

DISPLAY ENERGY CERTIFICATES (DECS)

Occupiers of buildings that require DECs must have a valid Advisory Report in their possession or control. An Advisory Report highlights recommendations to improve the energy performance of the building.

UK ETS (UK EMISSIONS TRADING SCHEME) 

On 10 March 2021, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (“BEIS”) published updated guidance on participating in the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (“UK ETS”) which launched on 1 January 2021. 

Energy performance certificates are a rating scheme to summarise the energy efficiency of buildings. The building is given a rating between A - G, the EPC will also include tips on the most cost effective ways to improve a buildings energy rating.

ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES (EPC)

AIR CONDITIONING
INSPECTION (ACI's)

The Air Conditioning Inspection must be carried out by an accredited Air Conditioning Inspector in accordance with the EPBD regulations and Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) TM44. 

SECR 

Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting (SECR) is industry legislation that affects over 11,900 UK organisations. 

Large UK companies are required to comply with SECR if they have two of three of the qualifying conditions. 

ESOS

Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a a mandatory energy assessment scheme for large organisations in the UK.

 

Organisations that qualify for ESOS must carry out ESOS assessments every 4 years. The phase 3 deadline is in 2023.
