GK Group Rise to the Challenge and achieve Certification to the new ISO 2015 Standard Following a successful External Audit of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems within the GK Group; the Business and Organisational Efficiency advisors, based in Brighton, have become one of the first of its kind to be recommended by DNVGL for both the ISO 9001:2015(Quality Management Systems) and 14001:2015(Environmental Management Systems) Certification.
Doug Bailey, Group CEO, said “This is a great collective achievement for our business and demonstrates that the whole team have a constant eye on quality and their overall impact on the environment. To be awarded the certification to the new 2015 standard marks us as one of the first businesses in the UK to have accomplished this and that is down to the commitment of many individuals to rise to the challenge and meet the new requirements in such an impressive way.”
The audit was carried out by DNVGL,a global inspection, verification, testing and certification company, who delved into the Quality and Environmental Management Systems at GK Group, ensuring these processes met the International Standards. Over the audit period, auditors met with countless members of staff from both GK Transformation and Low Carbon Europe, from Director and management level through to front-line consultants to find out about the business policies, procedures and processes and to ascertain whether these were being upheld and embedded into the day to day business processes. The outcome of the audit was a resounding success and both of the latest standards were met in full. To achieve this certification, the GK Group had to demonstrate its high standard of internal audits and compliancy, as well as demonstrating an established Environmental Management System to reduce energy use and meet it’s own carbon reduction targets, improve efficiency and meet all legal and regulatory environmental requirements. Achieving these results will enable the GK Group to offer its clients and customers, in over 120 sites across the UK, an even better service by:
• Delivering what we say we will, we do what our procedure states and we have the evidence to prove it, we get it right first time – Quality is our Policy
• Improved sustainability, we have systems in place to manage our environmental impact, every task that GK Group carries out has been assessed to ensure the environmental impact is as low as possible
• Having a benchmark with ISO 9001,14001 allows for continued improvement, benefitting our employees, clients and customers through service consistency.
• Having competent, well trained employees who understand and are committed to providing a quality service, including having an awareness of their personal impact on the environment.
