The main objective of an energy strategy is to reduce energy use and carbon emissions from the proposed developments by reducing demand through energy efficiency.

 

The energy strategy should also aim to reduce the use of finite, non-renewable resources (fossil fuels) and to reduce the other emissions related to building energy use.
