The decision to enter the Energy and Environmental industry stemmed from a desire to make a meaningful impact on how we use and manage energy, balancing innovation with real-world impact.

Darren Jones, CEO says “Yordan is a welcome addition to the team. The insight and experience he comes with will be a great asset to the business and will serve him well in his role as Compliance Coordinator

We asked Yordan a few questions about his interests.

ree

Who inspires you? I’m inspired by people who combine vision with action, CEOs/Managers who don’t just talk about sustainability but implement real, measurable solutions. This includes innovators in clean energy, as well as mentors in my own life who have shown the power of persistence and ethical decision-making.

What are you passionate about?  I’m passionate about creating solutions that are both practical and sustainable.

What’s the best task you are working on right now?

Right now, I’m really enjoying identifying and contacting consumers who need anything compliance-wise, from renewals to updates, etc. It’s rewarding to see such initiative translate into potentially actionable strategies that can actually reduce energy use and emissions while also keeping them compliant by having their certificates renewed..

Do you have a talent or hobby you do outside of work? Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and photography. Being in nature makes me feel as if I went back in time, where life feels slow, rather than the fast-paced environment of the area around me.

What’s something you would like to do this year that you have never done before? This year, I’d love to get involved in a local community-based projects. Preferably something hands-on.

Can you describe your typical day working in the LCE Team? A typical day for me would look like the following: Open Laptop/ Log In / look through the data of our clients and identify which sites require compliance renewals, reach out to said client and book in engineer visits in for them.

What advice would you give to someone looking to craft an energy/sustainability management plan? Start by gathering accurate data and understanding current energy use. Set clear, realistic goals, and prioritise actions that offer the highest impact.

What are your personal plans/goals for the coming year? I plan to deepen my expertise in renewable energy solutions and sustainability practices, and to take on projects that challenge me to think creatively about reducing energy use.
