We are pleased to welcome Gio Mendoza to the LCE team.
Recognising the continued impact of climate change, Gio is using his background in data and passion for sustainability to help clients on their journey to Net Zero through informed data-driven decisions. Darren Jones, CEO, says, "Gio is a welcome addition to the LCE team. His data skills have enabled him to hit the ground running and quickly get up to speed on our current projects. I look forward to seeing him grow within the business."
We asked Gio a few questions about his interests:
What are you passionate about?
I’m really passionate about seeing the real-time impact of our work. I love seeing the direct results of our strategies and find it incredibly rewarding, Whether that’s improving data-handling or just alleviating the pressures of Query Management off the backs of our clients, to help redirect their focus on what matters most.
What’s the best task you are working on right now?
I am really enjoying the development of reporting templates. It’s really satisfying to see improvements over time in both efficiency and practicality. Coupled with the growing advancements in AI, it’s really exciting to see the future potential of our reporting, and projects as a whole!
Do you have a talent or hobby you do outside of work?
I’ve always loved music; I enjoy learning songs on guitar or drums, and I like delving into all kinds of genres when playing or listening. I also really enjoy going to gigs or festivals as the experience is unmatched. My favourite shows include Neck Deep, Still Woozy or Kendrick Lamar!
What’s something you would like to do this year that you have never done before?
I would really like to make an active effort on my personal health and fitness. I go gym regularly but want to focus more on cardio this year. I have never done a proper run event before, so that would be my goal!
What is the most exciting part about your job?
I really enjoy the process of taking raw data and creating visualisations that are both eye-pleasing and meaningful. It is always satisfying showing clients what we can do with their consumption data, and when our work can make their lives a bit easier or move towards sustainability goals.
